That's why Autobest offers the Battery Warranty: an extra insurance that covers you for problems with the traction battery. Also for used electric cars. This way you really drive electric carefree.

Supplement to the Bosch Car Service Excellent Warranty

You can take out the Battery Warranty as a supplement to the Bosch Car Service Excellent Warranty. With that package, you're already insured against almost every mechanical or electronic defect in your car – the Excellent Warranty takes over where your factory warranty stops. By adding the Battery Warranty, you play it completely safe: the battery pack is then also covered.

For this, we work together with Autotrust, a specialized warranty provider. The Excellent Warranty with Battery Warranty is available for cars up to 8 years old or with a mileage up to 150,000 km. Do you experience a malfunction with the battery pack during the warranty period, or does performance drop below an acceptable level? Then we arrange for repair or replacement. A reassuring thought.

What are you entitled to?

The Battery Warranty covers two situations: failure or serious degradation of the traction battery pack.

Failure means that the battery pack can no longer be used for its intended purpose – your car no longer starts or can no longer run on electric power.

Serious degradation means that the battery capacity has dropped significantly. We speak of this when the State of Health (SoH) of the traction battery is 69% or lower. We determine this with measuring equipment authorized by Autotrust.

Does your car meet the stated conditions? Then we repair or replace the traction battery, after which the capacity must be at least 80%. The maximum payout per claim is € 10,000 including VAT.

Conditions for the warranty

To be able to claim the Battery Warranty, a few rules apply:

• You have your car maintained by us according to the manufacturer's service intervals
• There must be failure or serious degradation as described above
• The problems are determined by us with authorized measurement methods

Please note that repair or replacement of a traction battery can sometimes take longer than with comparable mechanical damage. This is due to delivery and capacity limitations at manufacturers. Autotrust commits to having each defect repaired in the shortest possible time, insofar as this does not lead to extra costs. Damage due to waiting time and any series damages are excluded from this warranty.
